The conference venue (as well as the Commundo Hotel) is located at the University campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. A detailed plan of the campus showing the building 5a can be found here.

The venue can be reached by the Subtrain (S-Bahn), stop "Universität", with lines S1 and S2 from the airport or lines S1, S2 and S3 from the central station (Hauptbahnhof), which is located at the city center. More information provides the website of the VVS. VVS-tickets can also be used in all tramways (U-Bahn) and busses.

Travel by Airplane:

  • Arrival at Stuttgart Airport (STR): The airport is connected through the municipal Subtrain (S-Bahn), lines S1 and S2. The journey to the conference location takes 16 minutes, to the central station 27 minutes. More information can be found here and here.
  • Arrival at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) or Munich Airport (MUC): Stuttgart can be reached in 1,25h (Frankfurt Airport) and 3,25h (Munich) using the high-speed train (ICE) and a Subtrain to the central station in the case of Munich. More information: link.

Travel by Train:

  • Stuttgart is well connected to all big german cities by high-speed trains. There are also connections to Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy and other european countries. More information: link.

Travel by car:

  • Motorway A8 runs from Karlsruhe and Munich to Stuttgart, but also connects motorways (A81 and others) coming from south or north.
