Convenient Location

The University of Stuttgart will provide the venue for SimTech 2018. The site is very conveniently situated. The events for SimTech 2018 can be accessed by rail from Stuttgart Airport in only 15 minutes.

Find Accommodation

We have arranged a (limited) allocation of accommodation in hotels in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. The list of accommodation can be found here

If you book your stay via the link provided, you will automatically receive a ticket for public transport in Stuttgart, which is valid for the period of your stay (with the total amount of 8 days). This ticket is available free of charge and will be sent to you by email with the booking via Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH. Print out the ticket and use it immediately upon your arrival in Stuttgart, from the airport or railway station

You can also stay on campus in the hotel campus.guest. If you want to find out about prices and free rooms, please send an email to the hotel staff. In case you will find accommodation here, you will not receive the free ticket for public transport. But also, you will find the conference venue just around your corner.

Arrival and Public Transport

From the main station

Coming from the city: Take the subway from the station "Hauptbahnhof": S1 (Herrenberg), S2 or S3 (both Flughafen) and get off at "Universität". Buy a ticket for two zones at one of the orange colored vending machines.*

Coming from the airport

The train stop is located directly beneath the airport. Just follow the signs marked "S". Take the subway S2 (Schorndorf) or S3 (Backnang) and get off at "Universität". Buy a ticket for three zones at one of the orange colored vending machines.*

By car

Driving on the A 8 switch at the interchange "Stuttgart" on the A 831 towards Stuttgart/S-Vaihingen. After the tunnel, take the exit "Universität", then turn left at the traffic light and afterwards turn right into Pfaffenwaldring. To get to the public car park follow the signs to building "Pfaffenwaldring 11". We recommend that you travel from your hotel via public transport, as the car parks at the campus in Vaihingen have limited spaces. *
